Vans Gets in the Seasonal Spirit with New Sk8-Hi "Dia De Los Muertos"
Just in time for Halloween.

Just ahead of Halloween, Vans has unveiled a seasonally appropriate take on the Sk8-Hi dubbed “Dia De Los Muertos.” Following closely in the footsteps of a spooky, spiderweb-equipped Sk8-Hi created in collaboration with British retailer size?, the brand has plastered one of its most classic silhouettes with a new motif that nods to Mexico’s annual remembrance of the dead.
The stark and sturdy black canvas and suede upper features a large white sugar skull graphic printed on both its lateral and medial collar, accompanied by both a floral bouquet and red flourishes for texture. Much like real sugar skulls, the graphic here is highly detailed. It’s outlined in teal, features yellow teeth, and proffers everything from spider webs to more flower-themed graphics to lock in its inspiration. Further embellishment is provided by an orange “Off The Wall” tongue badge, while a black rubber midsole and vulcanized gum outsole complete the look.
This new Sk8-Hi is available now at Vans.com and select Vans stockists. The MSRP is set at $65 USD.
In other Vans news, the California-based brand recently worked with Feature for a Las Vegas-inspired “Sinner’s Club Part II” collection, and dropped a store-exclusive Slip-On with floral chenille detailing at BILLY’s Tokyo.
