ASICS Brings Shimmering Silver Accents to GEL-Kayano 5 360
A metallic makeover for the hybrid silhouette.
After releasing in a duo of GORE-TEX-equipped makeups, ASICS‘ GEL-Kayano 5 360 is back once again, this time in a metallic “Sheet Rock/Silver” colorway. Presenting a clean grayscale look with its layered mix of white, silver, and slate grey hues, these hybrid sneakers also offer an appealing mix of materials.
Taking a bolder approach to AWAKE NY‘s similarly shiny sneakers, this GEL-Kayano 5-style upper’s base layer is constructed of a pebbled grey mesh, which is quickly contrasted with crisp white leather and shimmering synthetic silver overlays. ASICS branding appears on the heel and tongue, while embroidered details are present on the midfoot overlays to provide extra texture. Down below, a full-foot GEL cushioning system taken from the advanced GEL-Quantum 360 line infuses the retro-styled upper with a sizable dose of modern-day comfort.
With the set of aforementioned GORE-TEX models and a sleek GmbH collaboration on the horizon, the GEL-Kayano 5 360 has enjoyed an eventful 2019; makeups like this will only aid in keeping that momentum rolling into the winter months.
