Fear of God ESSENTIALS Joins Nipsey Hussle's The Marathon Clothing for "08 Crenshaw" Capsule
All proceeds will benefit Nipsey’s children’s trust fund.

For fans who may have missed out on the PUMA collection with Nipsey Hussle’s lifestyle company, The Marathon Clothing (TMC), the Los Angeles-based brand will soon offer another round of collaborative goods alongside Fear of God ESSENTIALS. The two streetwear labels have come together to pay homage to the late rapper’s legacy and his frequent support of designer Jerry Lorenzo, presenting a limited-edition assortment that seeks to “see through a collaboration as Nipsey always envisioned it.”
Dubbed the “08 Crenshaw” capsule — a reference to Nipsey’s hometown, as well as his 2013 Crenshaw mixtape — the range encompasses sporty pieces that are familiar to both TMC and Fear of God’s DNA. Sweatshirts and pullovers feature matching sweatpants and shorts that are steeped in either heather grey or royal blue colorways, the latter of which serves as an obvious nod to Nipsey’s strong affiliation with the hue. Each item is then branded with insignia that is representative of both labels and the collection’s namesake city; highlighted graphics include TMC’s signature flag imagery, the “ESSENTIALS” block text logo and a dominant “Crenshaw” emblem.
The capsule will exclusively release on October 25 at Fear of God’s “Atmosphere” pop-up in Los Angeles. 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the trust fund for Nipsey’s children.
As HYPEBEAST previously reported, the beloved rapper was killed in March after a shooting outside of his Los Angeles clothing store. His alleged killer was indicted by a grand jury in May, a little over a month after Nipsey’s “Celebration of Life” ceremony took place. Since then, family, friends, fans and colleagues alike have continued to commemorate the artist through music, awards and more.
