The Air Jordan 12 "Reverse Taxi" Is Releasing on Halloween
Flipping the classic “Taxi” colorway for a bold new look.

As part of its fall retro lineup, Jordan Brand is releasing an Air Jordan 12 “Reverse Taxi” on Halloween. A flipped take on the classic AJ12 “Taxi,” the new makeup offers a bold style, combining recognizable details with a color palette that’s both fresh and familiar.
The black upper swaps out the OG Taxi’s leather construction in favor of a soft suede. Heel tabs feature a traditional “Quality Inspired by the Greatest Player Ever” text hit, and there’s also an embroidered yellow “TWO 3” graphic that runs the length of each shoe’s throat. Gold tooling and a red Jumpman logo on the tongue add a luxurious feel, while the top half is completed with a black suede mudguard and black plastic midfoot piece.
Down below, the white midsole features a yellow carbon fiber plate and Zoom Air pods loaded into the heel and forefoot. The AJ12 was in fact the first-ever Air Jordan silhouette to utilize Zoom Air cushioning, a responsive system that designer Tinker Hatfield likely found perfect for Michael Jordan‘s fierce-yet-calculated style of play. A herringbone outsole with red and yellow details completes the look.
This release follows up September’s Air Jordan 12 “Game Royal,” a colorway that itself drew from a classic by borrowing the original AJ12 “Flu Game” colorblocking style. As mentioned above, the “Reverse Taxi” will hit Nike SNKRS on Halloween, October 31, for $190 USD.
