With the 2019 New York Comic Con just around the corner, adidas, Foot Locker and Marvel are teaming up to release an exclusive range of AM4 silhouettes to celebrate the comic book giant’s 80th anniversary.

Designed alongside Marvel Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada, the collection features two adidas SPEEDFACTORY AM4 models, the “Marvel x Foot Locker x adidas AM4 Marvel 80 Vol. 1” and the “Marvel x Foot Locker x adidas AM4 Marvel 80 Vol. 2.” The former features a warped Marvel logo accompanied by Ben Day dots and the number 80, while the latter is adorned with Marvel corner boxes featuring some of the publisher’s most iconic characters such as Captain America and Spider-Man.

On the collaboration Quesada shared, “some of the true joys of my career at Marvel are all the unique opportunities that have come my way, things that I could never have anticipated being a part of like creating two different, exclusive sneaker designs for adidas and Foot Locker celebrating Marvel’s 80th anniversary. I had such a blast designing them and I hope Marvel and Adidas fans have as much fun wearing them.”

Interested fans will be able to purchase the Foot Locker x Marvel x Adidas AM4 “80th Anniversary” sneakers during the 2019 New York Comic Con when they launch at Foot Locker’s 34th St. Herald Square location on Friday, October 4. A wider release will then follow two weeks later on Friday, October 18 over at FootLocker.com. Each model will retail for $150 USD.

New York Comic Con 2019 runs from October 3 until October 6.

For more upcoming collaborations, Ronnie Fieg and ASICS celebrate 10th anniversary with new “Super Blue” GEL-Lyte III.
