Vic Mensa Did a Punk Cover of The Cranberries' "Zombie"
“We connected to ‘Zombie’ because we were born from violence. RIP Dolores.”

One year ago this week, The Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan passed away. As such, Vic Mensa under the 93PUNX pseudonym he created for heavier cuts from his Hooligans EP sessions, has covered the band’s 1994 track “Zombie.”
The cover is a tribute to the memory of the departed lead singer, with Mensa saying “We connected to ‘Zombie’ because we were born from violence. RIP Dolores,” in a press statement. Last year during a Beats 1 interview, Mensa confirmed to be working with the likes of Travis Barker from Blink-182 and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte for a speculated project.
