New Jersey rapper RetcH drops a new album, Richer Than The Opps, one year after beating an armed-robbery case that almost cost him 20 years of his life. The 13-song LP only has one guest, fellow New Jersey rapper Gu Mitch, and serves as an excellent showcase of RetcH’s talents and signature voice.
Richer Than The Opps follows up last year’s After The Verdict EP, a 10-song project that features guest verses from Roc Marciano, Dave East and Tsu Surf, while production comes soley from close RetcH collaborator GRiMM Doza.
In 2016, the 23-year-old rapper, real name Brian L. Onfroy Jr., was arrested for armed robbery was facing anywhere between 10 and 20 years for a gunpoint robbery at a North Bergen, N.J. home.
