Panerai has designed a series of four watches for release at this year’s Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Genéve in Switzerland. The watch brand has created pieces inspired by the Italian Navy, the Italian sailing team Luna Rossa, outdoor explorer Mike Horn, and diver Guillaume Néry.

Two of these designs take cues from the technology and innovation used by the iconic sailing team and the Italian Special Forces: the Submersible Luna Rossa and the Marina Militare Carbotech. The 47mm carbon fiber Submersible diving watches are water-resistant up to 300 meters, built for life at sea and made from the same material used to make the racing boats themselves. They each include a rotating bezel to calculate the duration of a dive and the Submerisible Marina Militare Carbotech watch features an all-black motif in military green and will be released in a limited edition run of 33 pieces. Purchase of the watch include a potential immersive training experience with the Special Corps of the Italian Navy.

The Submersible Mike Horn Edition is inspired by the explorer himself. The watch is available in a limited edition run of 19 pieces and boasts a black dial and a power reserve of 72 hours, the piece is ideal for the modern adventurer. Upon purchase of the watch, buyers are invited to experience intensive outdoor training in the polar pack with Horn himself.

The Submersible Chrono Guillaume Néry Edition, inspired by the French diver, is also made to brave the deep seas. The diving watch is clearly legible in the dark thanks to its glow-in-the-dark display and features the diver’s diving record engraved on the back. The titanium-cased watch features a precision chronograph and includes a blue rubber strap and trapezoidal titanium buckle. Immersive experiences upon purchase of the special edition watch include free diving in French Polynesia with Néry.

Take a look through the galleries above to get a better look at the designs which go on sale from June 2019 and are available from the Panerai website, retailing from $24,068 USD to $45,753 USD.
