Vital Signs, a television show that Dr. Dre was developing revolving around his life was, was reportedly pulled by Apple boss Tim Cook. There were concerns about scenes involving sex, violence, and drug use, reports The Wall Street Journal. Apple’s focus will be on making more mainstream TV programming going forward. They currently have series in development with Oprah Winfrey and Jenifer Aniston, among others.

WSJ also reports that Dre’s show featured “characters doing lines of cocaine, an extended orgy in a mansion and drawn guns.” Vital Signs was first announced in 2016 and was being sought after by companies outside of Apple like Netflix and Amazon.

In 2015, Dr. Dre executive produced 2015’s N.W.A. movie, Straight Outta Compton. Last year, Dre alongside with Jimmy Iovine was featured on HBO’s new four-part documentary series, The Defiant Ones. Earlier this year, Dr. Dre reportedly began developing a new Marvin Gaye biopic.
