Upon first glance, Sam Friedman’s new series of paintings appear as gateways to otherworldly landscapes. The New York-based artist continues to tap his uninhibited imagination for a new show entitled “Flesh of the Gods” at Over The Influence Hong Kong. Merging abstraction and representation, all pieces in the show were meticulously made entirely freehand. Altogether, the body of work touches upon themes of memory, eternity, and escapism.
“Flesh of the Gods” is on view until October 27. Visit Over The Influence Hong Kong’s website to learn more about the exhibit and tour the exhibition rooms above. In other art news, take a look inside Wolfgang Tillman’s latest exhibit at David Zwirner NYC.
