Hedi Slimane's CELINE SS19 Show Invitation Is a Premium Art Book
Over a dozen snapshots of Parisian nightlife.

CELINE recently revealed that Hedi Slimane‘s first show for the brand will take place at Hôtel des Invalides, completed in 1676 as a dedicated hospital for military veterans. To further cement Slimane’s appreciation for French architecture, CELINE has teased the invitations for the Spring/Summer 2019 show, which take the form of canvas-covered art books, which contain over a half-dozen removable double-sided posters.
Though the 14 photographs aren’t credited to Slimane, a noted photographer, they do showcase a selection of Parisian nightlife destinations, including historical clubs, cafes and music venues patronized by the CELINE creative director. Ranging from Balajo to the Castel to Folies Pigalle, the photographs highlight well-worn walls, floors, ceilings, chairs and crown moulding, juxtaposing the interiors with bold-face text running through the location, date and time of the debut CELINE collection.
Stay tuned for Slimane’s runway show to premiere on September 28.
Recently, Angelina Jolie and Lady Gaga offered a first look at the new CELINE handbag.
