Fellow UFC fighter, Michael Chiesa, is suing The Notorious for assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress that he sustained during the altercation at Barclays Center. As a result of cuts to his hands and face he received when McGregor threw a steel dolly through the window of the bus, Chiesa was unable to fight in his scheduled bout against Anthony Pettis. The Barclays Center is also wrapped up in the lawsuit after failing “to engage in proper security measures to protect the plaintiff and other patrons.”
No word yet in how much Chiesa is seeking in damages, but stay tuned for more details as the story develops.
In case you missed it, Conor McGregor responded to Floyd Mayweather’s unexpected training invitation.
