Tobias Birk Nielsen Hit Copenhagen Fashion Week With “The Survivalist”
Functional details elevated by personalized dyes.
After debuting the lookbook in July, Tobias Birk Nielsen jetted off to Copenhagen Fashion Week for the brand’s Fashion Week debut. On the runway, the collection’s blend of functional detailing and artisinal craft was made instantly clear, with relaxed cuts, substantial layers and hand-dyed colors appearing throughout. Splashes of dye yielded a painterly graphic impact, while printed text nodded to youthful styling. Safari hats, funnel-neck coats and zippered hoods ensured total head coverage while slouchy shorts and elastic-hemmed pants blend utility with comfort. Facemasks, aprons, shoulder bags and multi-pocketed vests underline the adventurous motif, tapping a color palette of muted greys and earth tones to blend into the urban jungle.
Take a look at the presentation above and stay tuned for the collection to hit stockists early next year.
