Advisory Board Crystals Teams up With Wikipedia to Keep Knowledge Free
With all proceeds going to the Wikimedia Foundation.
Teased earlier this week, fledgling label Advisory Board Crystals released its surprise collaboration with nonprofit online encyclopedia, Wikipedia.
Noting that information is a privilege, the team up places a spotlight on Wikipedia’s free knowledge projects powered primarily through donations. The union between the two unlikely parties resulted in a T-shirt designed with familiar graphics informed by the Internet and “information related” details serving as a physical expression of the influential free encyclopedia. With all proceeds from the sales of the shirt going towards the Wikimedia Foundation, the collab will directly fund Wikipedia’s pages created and edited by volunteers around the world.
