Tobias Birk Nielsen Offers Rugged, Functional Layers for SS19

Aptly named “The Survivalist.”

After showcasing handmade jewelry made in collaboration with OSS, Copenhagen’s Tobias Birk Nielsen returns with a new array of moody clothing. Bomber jackets, hoodies and parkas have been reworked with taped seams, dangling straps and extended, adjustable hoods, granting the goods a distinctly technical appearance. A sense of worn-in comfort comes from the washed finishes and extended cuts, crafting the base layers of sweaters, tees and dropped-crotch pants from soft cottons for warm weather comfort. Backpacks and vests sport matching washes and a variety of metallic fasteners for extra utility.

Look for the collection to arrive next year. For more avant-leaning summertime styles, take a look at Professor.E’s ragged Spring/Summer 2019 lookbook.
