PSNY Deconstructs the Nike Air Force 1 This Fall/Winter
The “low” top model receives on-trend Nike design attributes.
Class is in session with Public School‘s forthcoming collaboration alongside Nike, this time with a new “low” top version of the Air Force 1.
Over the past few months we’ve seen glimpses of a new deconstructed AF1 from the duo Maxwell Osbourne and Dao-Yi Chow, but today Nike officially reveals what’s in store with three confirmed colorway choices. PSNY grabs influence from the silhouette’s low, mid and high iterations to breathe new life into one of footwear’s most iconic sneakers. Swatches of fabric are attached to the upper to form a makeshift high top model, while maintaining a low top fit and form. Trendy unfinished edges and shifted logos are present, while a classic AF1 cupsole and deubré solidify classic design elements for the new Air Force 1.
The PSNY x Nike Air Force 1 will be available exclusively in New York City at the PSNY pop-up at 3 Howard Street spanning from September 4-6 with a global launch to follow on September 5 retailing at $200 USD each. The release will be celebrated with a space that’ll offer basketball jersey customization using upcycled vintage Nike apparel.
