Virgil Abloh Launches Exclusive "CUTTING ROOM FLOOR" Drop & Exhibit
SSENSE releases replica goods from Abloh’s studio, custom Off-White™ x Nike shoes & RIMOWA suitcases.
First announced last month, Virgil Abloh & SSENSE join forces for the “CUTTING ROOM FLOOR” exhibit. SSENSE Montreal hosts the special event, where attendees may peruse a 1:1 recreation of Abloh’s personal studio in Chicago.
The remade studio features a host of knickknacks, DJ equipment, shoeboxes and scattered papers embellished with Abloh’s sketches, allowing guests a unique look at Abloh’s creative process. Elsewhere, the space is decorated with NASA chairs, Off-White™ snowboards, a Supreme x Public Enemy rug and Abloh’s HYPEBEAST Magazine cover, to name a few standouts. Attendees will be able to purchase the various facsimiles that fill out the faux studio, with each purchase encased in a vacuum-sealed package to denote its limited edition status. Accompanying the replica items are customized Off-White™ x Nike Air Prestos and various collaborative goods, including Nike Air Force 1s and Off-White™ x RIMOWA suitcases, both of which are signed by Abloh.
The exhibit opens at SSENSE Montreal today.
Most recently, Abloh confirmed that he had nothing to do with the Vans “Inside Out” pack.
