With Virgil Abloh‘s first Louis Vuitton show just days away, the designer has announced a new exhibition at SSENSE‘s Montreal flagship. Titled “CUTTING ROOM FLOOR,” the exhibit will spotlight Abloh’s creative process and is centred around a like-for-like recreation of the Off-White™ founder’s home studio.
Taking over the ground floor of the Montreal store, the recreated home studio will also feature remakes of all the studio’s contents. These items — ranging from shoe boxes and crayons to Abloh’s notes and sketches — will then be sold alongside an exhibition catalogue, exclusive T-shirt and poster in store and via the SSENSE web store. The exhibition will open with a launch party and appearance from Virgil Abloh on July 2, and will run until July 29.
Virgil Abloh also recently addressed claims of unoriginality regarding his IKEA collaboration.
