At the very beginning of this year, Kevin Gates returned home after spending nine months in an Illinois state prison. Since then, we’ve received a three-track EP known as Chained to the City and a Cole Bennett-directed video for “Change Lanes.” Now, the Baton Rouge superstar is back with a new single.

Known as “Intro Edition,” Gates’ latest is a five-month flurry of heavy-hitting bars. Notably, Gates places the spotlight on his powerful talents as a rapper on “Intro Edition,” flexing his skills as an emcee. This one is definitely essential listening.

You can stream Kevin Gates’ new “Intro Edition” track, and stay tuned for more.
