Here's What Went Down at the Skepta x Nike Air Max 97 BW Launch Party in Paris
The Tottenham MC shutdown Paris for the sneaker’s arrival.
As we approach the arrival of his hybrid Nike collaboration, London-based MC Skepta head to Paris to officially launch the sneaker. Heading to the French capital was an obvious choice for Skepta, who had previously cited his relationship with the city as one of the key influences on the Air Max 97 BW silhouette.
The event was designed with a series of retro-influenced gaming elements, including basketball hoops (which Skepta took part in), bowling lanes and Space Invaders. In another design touch, the padlock influence that Skepta had previously cited was also replicated in the venue. Take a look around the event space in the gallery above, and expect the Air Max 97/BW SK to drop at select retailers over the coming week.
