An Official Look at the Nike Air Max 98 “Team Red” Model

Courtesy of Foot Patrol London, we got our first look at Nike’s statement red Air Max 98 model last week, which sees a trio of signature tones — “Habanero Red,” “Team Red” and “Gym Red” — land on the retro runner. And now, with the silhouette already making noise overseas, official images of the new AM98 is now beginning to make its rounds online.
Nike makes creative use of textured leather, suede, and mesh, applying ample doses of each throughout the shoe’s upper. Silver found on the wavy divider line, lacing system and heel pull tab, not to mention the clean strip of white hitting the midsole help break up the sea of red found elsewhere. Priced at $170 USD, these new Nike Air Max 98s are now available overseas with a stateside release expected soon.
