Another Look at the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Fo’ Fi’ Fo’”
Honoring NBA legend Moses Malone and his bold championship prediction.
First spotted in Nike’s recent “Art of a Champion” collection, it appears that new images of the Air Force 1 Low “Fo’ Fi’ Fo’” has since surfaced, prompting us to take another look at the hoops-turned-lifestyle sneaker. The throwback design honors Philadelphia 76ers legend Moses Malone, who brazenly predicted that his Philly squad would win the 1983 NBA Championship by sweeping the competition. Not far from his declaration, Philly ended up downing the New York Knicks in four games, followed by the Milwaukee Bucks in five, while sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers in the finals to help secure the Larry O’Brien trophy — giving rise to the “Fo’ Fi’ Fo’” moniker.
White leather swarms much of the upper and midsole, while bold splashes of red provide ample contrast, as seen landing on the side Swoosh, heel counter, tongue branding and outsole. Subtle gold touches found on the lace jewels and interior lining graphic help round out the commemorative shoes. The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Fo’ Fi’ Fo’” will retail for $130 USD and is expected to land online and select stores on May 19.
