Spike Lee's 'BLACKkKLANSMAN' Trailer Arrives
“With the right white man, we can do anything.”
Spike Lee‘s upcoming buddy cop film based on a black officer infiltrating the Ku Klux Klan now has its first official trailer. A co-production between Jordan Peele‘s Monkeypaw Productions, QC Entertainment and Blumhouse, BLACKkKLANSMAN stars John David Washington, Adam Driver, Laura Harrier and Topher Grace.
The story covers these true events in 1978’s Colorado Springs, where an officer (Washington) pretends to be a white supremacist over the phone and send a white officer (Driver) in his place for in-person meetings. Here we’re introduced to the head of the local KKK Chapter (Grace), as we follow the officers as they sabotage the racist’s activities from within.
Based on a 2014 memoir called Black Klansman, the film is slated to hit theaters on August 10. Check out the trailer and share your thoughts below.
