GoPro has just announced its TradeUp program which will allow you to trade-in your old digital camera, regardless of brand, for a discount on the GoPro Hero6 Black or GoPro Fusion.

Customers can choose to receive either $50 USD off of the Hero6 or $100 USD off the Fusion with the trade. The catch is the older GoPro unit or product by another digital camera brand has to have had an original retail price of at least $99.99 USD. Currently there doesn’t seem to an expiration date on the offers. Once you choose what you want, GoPro sends you the product and you mail in your old camera. This sort of trade-in strategy has been employed by telecommunications companies for years now and time will tell if it’ll work for GoPro.

Let us know if you’ll be trying out the TradeUp program. Back in January, GoPro announced it was pulling out of the drone market.
