After reprising his role as the extreme athlete-turned-government operative early last year, Vin Diesel‘s Xander Cage is set to hit the big screen at least one more time: xXx 4 is slated to begin production later this year.

The followup to last year’s xXx: Return of Xander Cage (which saw Diesel take on the namesake role for the first time since the original xXx in 2002), the currently untitled film will once again see D.J. Caruso in the director’s chair while the H Collective and Diesel’s One Race Films — which acquired the rights to the franchise from Revolution Studios — will produce the flick. Casting for the film remains unknown, but Diesel himself will indeed be back as Cage.

Stay tuned for further developments and expect production on the next xXx installment to get underway this December.
