LG Releases AI-Enabled OLED TVs This Month
The top line screen will cost $15,000 USD.

LG has announced its pricing for its television releases in 2018. The lineup includes 9 new AI-enabled OLED TV’s alongside 7 AI-enabled super UHD TV’s, each of which come with the brand’s new ThinQ AI tech. The top range is the signature W8 series which consists of 2 editions coming in 65-inch and 77-inch respectively and costing $7,000 USD for the former and $15,000 for the latter. Elsewhere there’s the C8 series, which will cost $2,500 USD for the 55-inch, $3,500 USD for 65-inch and $9,000 USD for the 77-inch version.
The AI tech behind the TV’s are designed to have learning techniques, picking up the users habits. It will be used in LG’s other appliances, including everything from the aforementioned TVs to your fridges. The tech will also allow your appliances to communicate with each other, so you could conceivably control your washing machine from your TV. The LG AI-enabled TV will go on general release on March 19.
