A Closer Look at Hender Scheme's Latest adidas Originals Collaboration

Images of Hender Scheme‘s and adidas Originals‘ follow up to 2017’s collaboration recently emerged — first with teaser images before campaign imagery was released — and the two labels have now given a closer look at the three-silhouette pack. The new collection features the same three sneakers as last year, with the artisanal Japanese label taking on the Superstar, Micropacer and NMD R1.
One of the key features of this pack is the use of color, as Hender Scheme moves beyond the signature tanned leather tone of previous releases. This new colorful element sees the Micropacer silhouette given a metallic silver upper with red and blue accents, while the NMD R1 comes with blue and red plugs. The new colorways will be released alongside sneakers in the classic Hender Scheme color palette. As always, all of the silhouettes are handmade in Tokyo and come with a replaceable hammer-in sole. Japanese fans can register to purchase the shoes from Hender Scheme’s lottery application between March 3 and March 11, before the capsule drops at retailers including HBX on March 16.
