Casio G-SHOCK Introduces Its Next Generation MT-G "Metal Twisted" Model
Upgrades.
Casio has unveiled its next-generation version of the G-SHOCK MT-G at the Baselworld watch fair in Switzerland. The upgraded timepiece, named the “Metal Twisted” MTGB1000-1A, features enhanced construction and streamlined form factor for stylish durability and comfort.
The “Metal Twisted” MT-G is the first of its kind to boast several timekeeping features that will automatically set the time with Bluetooth (via a smartphone app) or radio signals from up to six different transmitters worldwide. The watch also features robust solar technology that charges the onboard battery via sunlight, as well as a phone finder feature that tracks your smartphone.
On the design side, new and improved exterior core guard case structure, carbon fiber reinforced resin case, and a Triple G Resist ensure unprecedented durability and shock resistance, while a sapphire crystal below the bezel protects against scratching. Despite the timepiece’s increased sturdiness, its build is trimmed down to a smaller size furbished in classic hues for a sleek, timeless look.
The Casio G-SHOCK “Metal Twisted” MTGB1000-1A will be available in July for a retail price of $800 USD at select jewelers, G-SHOCK’s Soho store in NYC and Casio’s online store.
