sacai Spring/Summer 2018 Editorial Revels in Prints, Denim & Color
‘GRIND Magazine’ taps Japanese actor Yōsuke Kubozuka to model the range.
After RSVP Gallery highlighted the range in its own editoral, Japanese publication GRIND Magazine introduces a different take on sacai‘s bold patterns and denim goods for Spring/Summer 2018. Modeled by Japanese actor and musician Yōsuke Kubozuka, the range’s eccentric goods allow for both low-key looks and eye-catching styling.
One of the collection’s key designs is a text-heavy print that nods to the work of Lawrence Weiner, granting extra visual flair to outdoor-ready anoraks and self-belting shorts. The trek influences also appear in the form of wide denim shorts and rugged boots created in collaboration with Hender Scheme. On the flip side, more refined garments come in the form of a safety pin-bearing white shirt, beige coat and earth-toned plaid suit. Plenty of layering pieces are available for the warmer seasons as well, with printed accessories and items like a chunky black fisherman’s knit and sacai’s favored bomber jacket amping up the visual interest.
