sacai Introduces Print-Heavy Pre-Spring 2018 Accessories
Lawrence Weiner’s artwork is boldly reinterpreted.
Chitose Abe‘s sacai prepares for Pre-Spring with a small assortment of accessories. The collection’s Lawrence Weiner-referencing print is on full display.
Encompassing a set of hats and a pair of bags, the release focuses on a monochrome base so as to give extra weight to the print. Two baseball caps, wide brim hats and rucksacks feature the “STASIS AS TO VECTOR (ALL) IN DUE COURSE” print seen elsewhere in the Spring/Summer 2018 collection, referencing a Weiner piece of the same name. The white and black items feature an all-over blue-toned print with red highlights, with the matching pants and jackets arriving in stores next year.
sacai’s Tokyo flagship will soon offer the goods for ¥24,000 JPY – ¥133,000 JPY (approximately $215 USD – $1,185 USD). Meanwhile, frequent sacai collaborators fragment design have revealed a new selection of hoodies designed in tandem with Atsuhiko Mori’s CAREERING.
