BEAMS x ASICS GEL-MAI G-TX Gets a Worldwide Release
Ideally designed for the streets.
After announcing their Asia-exclusive collaboration back in December, ASICS and BEAMS are set to give the joint GEL-MAI G-TX a wider release. The sneaker is based around two key themes, with the idea of asymmetry and GORE-TEX fabric being the key motifs across the shoe. Another key influence is the original GEL-MAI silhouette, which is referenced in the asymmetrical design and camouflage colorway.
The sneaker’s upper is predominantly suede, with touches of mini-ripstop fabric and GORE-TEX that add water resistance. Each pair comes with different shoelaces and shoelace stoppers, as well as a specially-designed shoebox that matches the camouflage design of the sneakers. The collaboration is set to drop at retailers including Hanon on March 1o.
