Nintendo's Switch Online Service to Launch in September
Which will include access to Nintendo’s classic library of games.
The Nintendo Switch has sold over 14.8 million units in less than a year despite complaints of lackluster specs and a half-hearted online component at launch. However, the company has announced it’s set to roll out its upcoming subscription service in September. The online service will is practically Nintendo‘s version of PlayStation Network or Xbox Live, offering online multiplayer at a monthly/yearly price, a currently free (for a limited time) feature.
One month will cost $3.99 USD and $19.99 per year with a subscription that will include access to classic Nintendo games with leaderboard scores and updated multiplayer. There are other benefits that will come with the new subscription, but Nintendo has stated it will reveal more on those features at a later date. In other Nintendo news, the Switch has passed the lifetime sales of the Wii U in less than a year.
