LAFC Unveils Jerseys With a Nod to Los Angeles Culture
Featuring Roy Choi, Bobby and Ben Hundreds, Jason Markk and more.
The newest addition to MLS, LAFC has unveiled its very first kit in style, paying homage to its own stomping grounds with a star-studded video to showcase the gold-tinged looks. Setting out “to unify the city through civic pride,” the piece from the football club features Los Angeles stalwarts ranging from Roy Choi, both Bobby and Ben Hundreds and Jason Markk to Ja Tecson, Chrissy Castro and Dom Kennedy. As for the jerseys themselves, a black and gold home look — a nod to downtown LA’s art deco past — is joined by a contrasting white away counterpart. Details include everything from art deco-inspired engineered mesh construction and the team’s “Shoulder to Shoulder” slogan (which appears on the inside neck tape) to the club’s signature winged crest and a special Inaugural Season jock tag — one that comes complete with the “L” in “Inaugural” and the “A” in “Season” called out in gold.
Look for both jerseys to grace the pitch when LAFC kicks off its very first MLS season this spring.
