Prime Video has officially unveiled the first trailer for Blade Runner 2099 at New York Comic Con. The eight-episode limited series acts as a direct continuation set 50 years after the events of Denis Villeneuve’s 2017 feature Blade Runner 2049.
Created and showrun by Silka Luisa, the narrative takes place in a reborn Los Angeles. The story centers on fugitive Cora, played by Hunter Schafer, who adopts a final identity as a Blade Runner and is forced into a partnership with Olwen, a near-death Replicant portrayed by Michelle Yeoh. Together, the duo must hunt down a runaway harboring a secret that threatens to collapse the entire city.
Rooted in Philip K. Dick’s 1968 novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, the series is executive produced by original franchise director Ridley Scott alongside Alcon Entertainment. Jonathan van Tulleken serves as an executive producer and directed the first two episodes of the season.
All eight episodes of Blade Runner 2099 premiere November 25, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video. Watch the trailer above.
