J.W.Anderson & Converse Reunite on "Simply_Complex" Collection
Featuring denim and suede sneakers.

After last year’s logo-heavy capsule and “Glitter_Gutter” pack, J.W.Anderson and Converse have continued their collaborations into 2018. The “Simply_Complex” collection features new takes on the Thunderbolt and Chuck Taylor 70 silhouettes, with a focus on the textures and materials of the shoes. To launch the shoes, the two brands recruited Larry Clark to direct a trailer shot in Marseille.
The Thunderbolt comes in two asymmetrical versions, with one being a tonal brown/beige colorway while the other comes in denim. The denim sneaker is made up of three different raw indigo denims, meaning that the shoe will evolve the more it is worn, while the other version comes in suede with a goat leather lining.
The Chuck 70s are inspired by traditional brown menswear shoes, and come in the same color palette as the suede Thunderbolts. One take on the silhouette sees it come with an extended hi-top, with suede featured on the outer side and leather on the inner. Both silhouettes are set to drop via the Converse web store and select retailers on March 2.
In related news, a new J.W.Anderson x Uniqlo collaboration is coming later this year.
