Having just released the interactive, choose your own adventure Black Mirror: Bandersnatch film on Friday, Netflix has just confirmed the hit show will be returning in 2019 for its fifth season.
Talking with writer/journalist Scott Bryan, the streaming giant confirmed a full-length Season 5 is in the works for the New Year. “Netflix has told me that the fifth season of Black Mirror is still to come in 2019,” the BuzzFeed TV editor said on Twitter. “Bandersnatch was not the fifth season, but a standalone interactive film, in case you were wondering.” Some initial reports claimed the special was the fifth season. The fourth season of Charlie Brooker’s anthology series debuted in December of 2017.
Earlier this month, Miley Cyrus confirmed she would be making an appearance in Black Mirror Season 5 during an interview with Howard Stern.
