Watch the Dubai Police's New Hoverbike in Action
With four propellers lifting it off the ground.
The Dubai Police department has a fleet of vehicles that include the Lamborghini Aventador, Audi R8, & more for routine patrols. But now, the officers can include a hoverbike to its arsenal, produced by the Russian company Hoversurf. This modified version of the Scorpion 3 hoverbike comes equipped with four rotors at each edge of the vehicle, alongside a safety ring that’ll keep the blades in check.
Its maximum flight can only reach 60 mph and only have the ability to remain off ground for 40 minutes at most, although the company states it has a 10 to 25 minute flight time and a 2.5 hour recharge time. The ride can be quite limited in high-speed chases and patrolling. For those interested, you too can own one of these Hoversurf vehicles for $150,000 USD.
