Samuel Ross Offers Closer Look at A-COLD-WALL* x Nike Clothing
Sportswear meets industrial design.

Accompanying Samuel Ross‘ industrial take on the Nike Zoom Vomero +5, the designer’s A-COLD-WALL* imprint and Nike are preparing a suitably muted collaborative clothing drop. First revealed via the campaign imagery, Ross took to A-COLD-WALL*’s Instagram page for the clothing’s first off-body look.
The collaborative capsule will include a convertible grey hybrid parka crafted from Japanese nylon and pair of tailored drawstring pants, complete with zippered ankles. Both items boast co-branding and tonal detailing, blending Nike’s sportswear functionality with A-COLD-WALL*’s signature industrial workwear bent thanks to the technical materials and considered design elements. “Cropping the pant and adding this tension around the back of the knee joint really gives it a very stark and staunch and hostile feel,” said Ross. With an aim to create garments that were as dynamic as they are distinctive, Ross selected textiles that conform to the wearer’s body and age with wear, much like the elevated Vomero sneaker.
The A-COLD-WALL* x Nike capsule exclusively launches via collaborative installation on November 17 in London, before receiving a worldwide release on November 29. Expected retail prices put the coat at about $625 USD and pants at about $208 USD.
