Laforet Harajuku, though not as old as Tokyu Hands or Hankyu, is one of Japan’s larger mall chains, with outposts scattered around the country. To commemorate the retailer’s 40th anniversary, fellow Harajuku native Jun Takahashi has devised an exclusive design under UNDERCOVER‘s MADSTORE imprint. Keeping in line with past MADSTORE drops, the focus is on wearable staples emblazoned with unmissable graphics, repurposing an old painting as the base for bold-face “MAD” prints. Coaches jackets, hoodies and T-shirts are each available in distinctive shades, including red, mustard yellow and off-white, emphasizing the imagery over off-kilter design.

The goods hit Laforet Harajuku’s domestic retail spots on October 27.

Elsewhere, UNDERCOVER joined AFFA and CAREERING for an exclusive capsule.
