The Audi R8 Receives a Revamp for 2019
Releasing in the first quarter of next year.
Audi has unveiled the 2019 edition of the R8. More of a refresh than a total overhaul, there’s a number of performance updates as well as a few visual changes. The latter side sees changes to the suspension in order to improve the vehicle’s handling, while there’s a new set of lightweight wheels and an optional CFRP front stabilizer.
The biggest visual change is the front end, which has been made wider and features flat slits in the hood that look similar to the Ur-quattro. There’s also a wider front splitter and air vent grille to the rear. The two new paint options are the “Ascari Blue” and “Kemora Grey.” The Audi R8 will begin shipping in Europe in the first quarter of 2019.
In other news, Dyson has confirmed the existence of an electric car manufacturing plant in Singapore.
