Stormzy Hints at New Album in a Drake-Sampling Freestyle
“I swear down, I’ma be the number one for ages.”

Stormzy has barely finished promoting his Gang Signs & Prayer album from earlier this year — with a recent video for “Cigarettes & Cush” as well as a short film to go alongside the project — but the London-based MC has already teased his next album. In a new freestyle titled “4PM in London,” over the beat for Drake‘s “4PM in Calabasas,” Stormzy hinted at a new project, saying that he had been “working fucking hard, the second album’s coming soon.”
Elsewhere in the freestyle, Stormzy looks back at the past year, including touring “from Serbia to Kettering” as well as announcing Paul Pogba’s return to Manchester United (“I just announced the biggest deal in football, let me brag a bit”). Other sections see the MC reference UK rising star J Hus, and take shots some of the scenes older artists: “Most of these older rappers hate me on the sly, because we achieved the same things but it just took me half the time.” Watch the freestyle and its accompanying visuals above, and keep an eye out for further details about Stormzy’s hotly anticipated second album.
Stormzy hasn’t just been working on his own project, with the MC also appearing on one part of Krept & Konan’s dual album.
