With the limited pre-order of the Gorillaz x G-SHOCK collaboration upon us, we stopped by the G-SHOCK‘s Carnaby Street store in London to take a peek at the collaborative pop-up installation. Fictional band members 2D, Murdoc, Russel and Noodle each receive unique timepieces, emblazoned with their silhouettes on a tonal strap.

Underneath a rocket-propelled race car, the collaborative timepieces are given place of honor, with each of the cartoon band members’ bespoke 5600 watches housed in a glass case. Russel and Murdoc’s darker-toned watches contrast neatly with 2D’s white variant and Noodles’ army green colorway, with unique features — like gold text and logos — varying on each. Besides the display is a special collector’s case that hosts all four pieces from the collection, with the teaser clip and scrap of the band’s spaceship embedded into the top — check out the second teaser clip below for the full context.

Pre-orders for the collaborative G-SHOCK watches go live today on the Gorillaz website. They’ll officially release via a dedicated web page and G-SHOCK stores on November 15 (for Murdoc and 2D’s watches) and December 15 (for the Russel and Noodle editions).

Most recently, G-SHOCK unveiled new additions to its “Full Metal” 5000 series.
