The cross partnership between Tokyo and New York is emphasized in this partnership between Pharrell and NBHD designer Shinsuke Takizawa, with a selection of hoodies and tees that heavily utilizes graphic printing in seemingly random arrangements. Both brands’ icons are noticeable — BBC’s cursive logo and Spaceman are seen throughout alongside “CRAFT WITH PRIDE” phrasing that’s synonymous with NBHD. The duo also creatively overlap graphics for a more chaotic design aesthetic, showing off how the two very-different brands can coalesce.
Alongside the garments, BBC and NBHD will release two special edition items with both adidas Originals and Medicom Toy. The first is a tri-collaborative pair of EQT Bask ADV, with modifications on the toe box (NBHD BBC embroidery) and midsole for a new approach to the Prime knit runner. Secondly, a new BE@RBRICK will release, with a mix of skulls and space coming together on a gray/clear yellow base model — this concept is meant to translate as a “past to the future in space.” The BBC x NBHD x Medicom Toy BE@RBRICK will be available in both 100% and 400% sizes.
HYPEFEST will provide a virtual shopping experience accessible only to those within the geo-fenced location of the festival. All products purchased at HYPEFEST through the HYPEFEST app and on-site point of sale will be shipped to the buyer shortly after the festival.
