The latest large-scale sculpture exhibition from London’s Hayward Gallery focuses on works designed to alter or disrupt the visitor’s sense of space and and perception of surroundings. Titled “Shape Shifters,” the exhibit features works including Yayoi Kusama‘s Narcissus Garden and Anish Kapoor‘s Sky Mirror, Blue.
Other notable works in “Shape Shifters” include Robert Irwin‘s Untitled (Acrylic Column) – a 4.5 meter acrylic column — and Richard Wilson’s 20:50, which takes up an entire room in the gallery. The work includes thousands of litres of recycled oil, which makes a waist-high reflective pool around a central walkway.
