Filling Pieces Hits the Court With Basketball-Inspired Sneakers

Amsterdam-based footwear label Filling Pieces introduces two new sporty silhouettes to its roster of sneakers, influenced by the basketball sneakers the designers wore as children.
The “Lay Up Icey 2 Flow” appears in a variety of colorways throughout the release, with premium leather and court-ready mesh and leather makeups both available. A thin, leather-lined interior helps the shoe mold to the wearer’s foot with wear while a variety of stark colorways places the emphasis on the details, like the sculpted “Icey” midsole and press stud heel pull. Meanwhile, the “Alley Oop High Icey” appears in suedes and nubucks, offering the wearer lace-crossing straps for a secure fit. Also utilizing the “Icey” midsole, the sneaker boasts a taller tongue and triangular perforations, making for a more aggressive sneaker.
