Ford Unveils the 2019 Mustang BULLITT
A contemporary spin on an old classic.
Following up last year’s menacing redesign, Ford takes to the North American International Auto Show to debut the latest addition to its beloved Mustang lineup: the 2019 Mustang BULLITT.
A limited-edition offering, the Mustang BULLITT comes equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 engine loaded with at least 475 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft of torque. With a max speed of 163 mph, Ford’s latest muscle car boasts an eight mph leap over similar figures from the standard GT. The 2019 Mustang BULLITT is also a contemporary spin on the 1968 original, which traces its original claim-to-fame back to the famous car chase scene in the award-winning 1968 Peter Yates and Steve McQueen film Bullitt. Judging by recent headlines, there are still many serious collectors and hobbyists who have an intense interest in contemporary American cars with designs rooted in nostalgia.
