Swedish camera manufacturer Hasselblad has presented the successor to its 200-megapixel H5D-200c in the H6D-400C MS, which can produce double the quality. The H6D-400C MS combines six separate exposures with its 100MP sensor, one pixel at a time for the first four exposures, to capture GRGB color data.

The last two exposures are captured with half pixel shifts to increase resolutions from 100MP to 400MP, which produces a 2.4GB 16-bit TIFF image at 23200×17400 pixels. The 100MP CMOS sensor has a 15-stop dynamic range and an ISO range of 64-12800. Other specs include a USB 3.0 Type C connection, a 3-inch display with a 920K-dot touch interface, 4K video capabilities, CFast 2.0 and SD dual memory slots, and more.

The Hasselblad H6D-400C MS can be preordered for $48,000 USD from B&H Photo Video‘s webstore.
