Takashi Murakami Opens New Exhibition in Custom A-COLD-WALL*
Bespoke pieces from head to toe.

Superflat pioneer Takashi Murakami officially launched his first-ever retrospective in Russia at the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow. Titled “Under the Radiation Falls,” the extensive presentation is filled with prints, paintings, sculptures, and installations dating back to the mid-1990s alongside newer works. Collectively, the exhibit is split into five distinct parts that each showcase significant developments of Japanese culture found in Murakami’s work.
At the exhibit’s opening night, the storied Japanese artist took to Instagram to share a photo of him donning a custom outfit made by Samuel Ross of A-COLD-WALL*. The personalized ensemble consists of a bleach-stained lab coat, oversized technical trousers, branded socks, a special canvas tote and a pair of bespoke Nike Air Force 1 Highs.
Check out the outfit below and head over to Garage MCA’s official website to learn more about the exhibit which will run from September 29 up until February 4, 2018.
