Remastered 'Secret of Mana' Gameplay Footage Will Make You Nostalgic
Co-op gameplay remains intact.
Square Enix announced a Secret of Mana remaster at PAX West about two weeks ago, and now 10-minutes of gameplay footage has surfaced showing off the updated graphics. The game has been reworked to feature 3D visuals, voice actors assigned to the characters, and a mini map that resembled the original 2D aesthetics, but everything else remains the same as its SNES counterpart.
The gameplay features main protagonist Randi slashing rabites and taking on the game’s first boss Mantis Ant. In the video, it’s announced that local co-op will remain intact for up to three players controlling Randi, Primm and Popoi, and that Enix is considering a remake of Secret of Mana’s Japan only Seiken Densetsu 3 follow-up. You can expect the Secret of Mana 3D remake for PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and PC on February 15, 2018; leave your thoughts in the comments below.
