Mercedes Just Released Another Teaser of Its Project One Hypercar
The first time a road legal car comes with a Formula 1 powertrain.

After releasing a cryptic teaser of the Project One hypercar way back in January, Mercedes has now given a better look at the vehicle. Although details of the car are still shrouded in mystery, this is the best look that the German car manufacturer and its AMG division have given of the Project One. The car marks the first time ever that a manufacturer has used a Formula 1 powertrain on a road legal car, with the Project One also set to have 1,000 horsepower and a top speed of more than 350 kmph (approx. 217 mph).
Project One has been created to celebrate 50 year’s of Mercedes’ AMG division — the company’s high performance arm — with the manufacturer describing it as its “most ambitious project ever.” The car will finally be unveiled at this year’s IAA motor show in Frankfurt, which opens on September 14.
